Bud Light Wins......Cycles have a flat....The Brokers clobber par...Happy Birthday Slider!

It was a hot and steamy night on the fairways and greens of the Carroll Country Club as your Bud Light did battle. Some confusion between the Pro Shop and this report resulted in inaccurate reporting of last nights match ups. Your Bud Light team headed for the 7th and 8th tees to take on whiskey bottles of Templeton Rye. Long time subscriber, top local amateur, highly successful and more veteran golfer Craig Mertz beat Carroll Country Club Head Golf Professional Nick Schon 12 to 6. With the win Mertz takes the lead in the 2010 Bud Light Golfer of the Year race. Bud Two Troy Auen beat Pro Shop Paul Tigges 12 to 6. Your Captain Mike Franey and 2009 Bud Light Golfer of the Year Steve Sinnard tied Drew Knudsen and John Nepple . Overall a good win for the Bud Light team 42 to 30. Sinnard was awarded closest to the pin on #8. Bud Two Steve "Hans" Auen was riding on RAGBRAI with wife Krissi. Good riding Hans! 2008 Bud Light Golfer of the Year Mike Schulz subbed for Papa Joe Pick and lost a close one 10 to 8.

Your Bud Light team sits in 3rd place after Sharp Funeral Home flattened the tires of the Carroll Cycle Center 44 to 28 moving the cycles from 2nd to 5th. Eric Sievers and Anti Virus Adam Schweers were the MVP's for the caskets who have a 13 point lead. Captain TR is going to have to rally the team.

Over in the Phil Mickelson division league leading Macke Motors recruited Colorado State's Kirby Pettitt only to see Pettitt fall to Wyatt Haukap 11 to 7. Raue has been out of the line up for weeks and may go back into retirement after last nights performance. The Motors fell to the oil guys 40 to 32.
