Thanks to all of the players who made the trip to Okoboji this year! A great time was had by all. Thanks to our donors and sponsors - Bob Muhlbauer, Terry and Wade from the Carroll Cycle Center, Ike Auen Distributing, Papa Joe Pick, Brad Hempstead, Mid Iowa Ins & RE and Sharp Funeral Home. Thanks to all the staff in the pro shop, clubhouse and on the course at Brooks National Golf Course.

So long from Okoboji and See you next year

A nice night welcomed the golfers in the Men’s Supper League at the Carroll Country Club!

Carpet One Floor and Home continued their winning ways with a 7-3 beat down of Westside State Savings Bank. All winners for the carpets except the head carpet himself, Colin Bierl. John Sturm, Brad Pick and Brad Hempstead beat Aaron Ahrendsen, Billy Beck and Justin Yetmar respectively. Brad Hempstead was low gross with a 32 on the back nine! Justin Yetmar was closest to the pin on 17.

HD of Carroll shattered the plate glasses of Carroll Glass 6-2. HD’s all-world head cycle cleaner Wade Adams and the Head hog Terry Ruchti were winners for the cycles beating Keith Pottebaum and Evan Koster. Benton Snyder and Head Glass cutter Andy Reiman both won.

I never knew that PAR was so easy to beat! Sharp Funeral Home beat PAR 7-2. Cable Chad Kanne and the hottest golfer on the planet Pat Greteman were winners. Numbers Bobby Muhlbauer and Giddy Up Wyatt Haukap tied.

America’s team was led by long-time subscriber, former top local amateur, highly successful and very veteran golfer Craig Mertz and CK Curt Kirsch beating Champion Chrysler 6-4. Clothier Wade Wilke never missed the middle of the fairway and beat Mouthpiece Mike Franey. Bud Two Troy Auen and the farmer Clint Cummings tied.

Champion Ford showed respect to their elders and tied Stiff Sticks 4-4. Magic Mike Nelson the only winner for the sticks. John Baratta the only winner for the car company beat Bud One Jim Auen.

Graddy’s Tomatoes edged Full Swing Golf 5.5-3.5. Tator Tot Tim Gute and Tomato John were winners for the growers. Ryan Lynch was the only winner for the swingers

OH BOBBY beat Anytime Fitness 5.5-3.5. A subbing Tony Schultes the only winner for OH BOBBY and Cody Forch the only winner for the gym rats. Easy Ed lost!

Welcome to Hugo and his staff. Most of the time change comes with unforeseen obstacles. I urge all of us to be patient as we grow together. At the end of the day, the ultimate goal is to make the CCC a better place.

Congrats to Corbin Borelli on his Carroll City Championship!

Respectively Submitted,

Mouthpiece Mike Franey
