Men's Supper League Results

Week 12 saw a big victory for Templeton Rye who opened up a 23 point lead over Fairway Frank's Stiff Sticks. Champion Ford last a close one only to maintain a 23 point lead on Bud Light. A Macke Motors and Utilicomm loss allowed the Carroll Cycle Center pull within 8 of the motors. Van Diest and Budweiser equalled each other so Van Diest maintain their 20 point lead.

A hot and steamy week 13 was just right for Fairway Frank's Stiff Sticks as they scored 49 points to close the lead to 17. Templeton Rye had a good night as well. Graddy's beat Bud Light to take over second place 20 points behind Champion Ford. Champion Ford was beaten by Templeton Savings Bank. Macke Motors lengthened their lead over the Carroll Cycle Center to 20 with a big night. Budweiser beat flight leading Van Diest Supply to pull within 14 of the lead. Two weeks remain before the playoffs to decide the flight leaders.

No change at the top......Sinnard fades one......Bud Light beats Par!

It was a glorious night on the fairways and greens of the Carroll Country Club! There was no change at the top of the four flights in week 11 although most leads did shrink.

In the British Open Flight Champion Ford squeaked by Badding Construction 37 to 35. Head Ford man Kenny Payer and Steve Herrin were the only winners for the top dogs beating Jair Mayhall and Jeff Greteman. Two time Papa Joe Classic Champion Digger Dave Nelson was beaten by numbers Bob Muhlbauer. Monument Man Loren Boyce and and head hammer Ron "Bubba" Badding battled to a tie. The cars remain in first although their lead was reduced to to 21.

Your Bud Light team jumped Graddy's Salsa into 2nd with a sound beating of Par. Steve Sinnard was the MVP winning 12 points. Long time subscriber, top local amateur, highly successful and more veteran golfer Craig Mertz scored 10 points along with low gross honors. Bud Two Troy Auen and Mike Franey each scored 11. Mertz had a blistering run of holes on Monday night where he was 12 under par for 32 holes. In after golf Auen, Franey and Mertz witnessed Steve Sinnard fade a ball out of bounds on the 13th hole which is a less frequent occurrence than a full moon. Franey was closest to the pin on 17th.

Graddy's Salsa dropped to 3rd after suffering blunt force tramua to the head from the clubs of Templeton Savings Bank. Eastside Shell's Tony Pietig and head bus driver Scott Greteman led the way for the bank team beating Mike Loehr and Rick Grote. John Feld and John Horbach won as well. NO winners for the salsas. Tony Pietig shared low gross honors with an one under 33.

In the US Open Flight Templeton Rye scored 42 points against par. Denny Kasperbauer was the MVP and was awarded low net.  Papa Joe Pick and Cuda Quandt each won. Pick carded a three under par round in the more mature league on Tuesday afternoon from the gold tees. Produce Tom Duff was beaten by Miss Par for the only loss. The whiskeys lost ground to defending champions Stiff Sticks. The sticks and the whiskeys shared the low net team award of the evening.

The sticks clobbered Byronz Boyz 46 to 26. Dr. Neal Cross, Trusty Mike Nelson, Doc Sporrer and Fairway Frank Comito were all winners. Comito drained the longest putt on 18 as well. In an after the round interview Comito said " We seem to be like a horse who starts running in between the 3rd and 4th turn." Off the record Comito hinted about a possible Supper League repeat! Comito is now concentrating his efforts on the upcoming Papa Joe Classic. Comito is the defending champion of the event beating law partner Jeff Minnich by one last year after a career round. Damn attorneys!

Jurgen's Lawn Care mowed down Active Performance 42 to 30. Kyle Christensen, Bob Linde, Ron Juergens and Twenty time Carroll City Champion Mike "Jewels" Eckerman were all winners.

Over in the Zach Johnson division Macke Motors scored 42 points against par and stretched their lead to 21. Captain Randy Bierl and Jeff Minnich scored 13 points and Car Wash Todd Pettitt and a subbing Security Mike Schulz scored 8.

Utilcomm beat the Carroll Cycle Center 38 to 34 to remain in second. Pat Macke redeemed himself and led the team with a 12 to 6 beating of J.B. Greenwell. Wyatt Haukap beat Corey Bluml 10 to 8 and Bud Three Steve "Hans" Auen tied Jamming Joe Hinners. Whoops! What happen to the vocal captain Chad Kanne? Kanne was beaten by Head Hog Terry Ruchti 11 to 7 for the only team lose. Maybe Mr. Kanne should not be so vocal of Grant and Lauren's dad since he carried the team in week 11!

Community Oil beat WCI 37 to 35. Jerry Janson led the team again with a 12 to 6 win over the head basement wall guy Scott Schon. Todd Kanne tied Brian Badding, Dick Muhlbauer and Chico Kanne both suffered losses.

In the upset of the night Greteman Chiropractor beat Budweiser 39 to 33. GPS Bob Pudenz the only winner for the King of Beers. Counter top Pat Malloy was the big loser for the team with a 11 to 7 loss to Larry Olbering. Malloy was critical of your publisher concerning the allegations that he let his team down last week. Sorry Mr. Malloy for last weeks comments which came directly from your team BUT it appears that you have enough problems from this week to worry about! Budweiser remains 20 points behind Van Diest Supply Company. This publisher will be watching how Captain Countertop gets this team to rally.

Van Diest Supply Company continued their winning ways 42 to 30 over Carroll Broadcasting. Jay Westerkamp the MVP for the chemical company. Ryan Milligan was a winner for the team. Brad Pick suffered a loss to Clothier Wade Wilkie. The Broadcasters were one player short. Where was Kimmy's son Collin?

Carroll Glass beat Brown Shoe Fit Company 39 to 33. Head glass cutter Andy Reiman was the MVP with a 12 to 6 victory over Book man John Nepple. Brad Stork beat Jeff Bahr 10 to 8 and Benton Snyder tied Carroll Country Club Golf Professional Paul Tigges.

Brad Stork, Terry Ruchti and Brad Pick were low gross. Community Oil's MVP Jerry Janson was low net. Carroll Glass was low net team. Wade Wilke was closest to the pin and Larry Olbering nailed the longest putt.
