BUD 7 Tyler Auen carries Team Ultra!

A glorious night on the fairways and greens of the Carroll National Golf Course.

Bud 7 Tyler Auen started celebrating his upcoming 21st this weekend by carrying the Ultra team to victory last night. As mentioned B7 will turn 21 on Sunday! From all of us Happy Birthday and This Bud's for you!

For the second time in as many tries Bud 7 Tyler Auen beat the head casket Kyle Atkinson. The two carried their argument into the bar area of the clubhouse after the round. It is a comical scene where no winner ever appears! Bud Two Troy Auen took some well deserved time off from the cleanup at Lake Okoboji to beat Peterman Tony Pietig. Cable Chad Kanne crushed Mouthpiece Mike Franey and Numbers Bob Muhlbauer beat Bud 3 Steve Hans Auen. Muhlbauer was awarded the longest putt on hole 9 with a monster 6 foot putt. With Bud 7’s low gross and the sharing of low net honors your Michelob Ultra team stayed on top of the supper league by less than one point.

Security Mike took the night off after playing in the sauna of the St. Anthony Regional Hospital event on Monday which was his first round of the year. Long time subscriber, former top local amateur, highly successful, 2022 and 2023 Senior City Champion, avid bike enthusiast, and very veteran golfer Craig Mertz took the night off to ride his bike and Kimmy’s boy CK Curt Kirsch was not in action.

Carpet One edged Westside State Savings bank 6 to 5 with loss gross honors for Brad Hempstead low net honors for Colin Bierl. Wyatt Haukap and Ryan Lynch were winners for the bank tellers.

Carroll Glass cooled the motors of Harley Davidson of Carroll. Co low gross honors for Wade Adams was the only winner for the cycles. Cole Collison and Benton Snyder were winners for the glass company. Snyder topped 20 time Grinnell Jr. Champion Mike Jewels Eckerman.

OH BOBBY crushed the tomatoes of Graddy’s 6-3. Chris Giguere, John and Drew Munson were winners for OH BOBBY. Tomato John Gradoville the only winner for the tomatoes.

Supper League’s most mature team Stiff Sticks beat Champion Ford 6-3. Fairway Frank Comito and Bud One Jim Auen were winners for the sticks. Clothier Wade Wilke was the only winner for the cars.

Average Joe’s were stymied by par scoring only 2 points. Ryan Filloon the only winner.

Here are the standings after week 11.

After 46 years of service to the Carroll community the Pettitt family it is time to call it quits. I met the Pettitt family 30 years ago when I first moved to Carroll.

Bruce and I become fast friends. Then I got to know Todd, Delbert and Eileen, sister Sue(because that is what Bruce always called her), and all the kids, spouses, and family! Yes, there are a lot of them! Lol!

What a caring family! I have been to most of their graduations and most of their weddings most recently Kirby and Caitlin in Arizona.

It’s all about family! Stop down and see Todd this week before he locks the door for the last time. Thanks and best of luck!

The Carroll National Golf Course continues to improve and the future is very bright. A successful St. Anthony Regional Hospital event was held on Monday and a 4 person shootout is scheduled for Sunday! Some great food was served last night!

Respectfully submitted,

ON IOWA AND GO HAWKS!
